First Ascent in Vermont Life with Curtis Savard Photography

There are few places in Vermont that provide a view as beautiful as the one seen from Camel's Hump, and there is no one better to showcase that wonder than Vermont Life.  Vermont Life is more than a magazine, but a collaboration of some the most talented, creative and genuine people that Vermont has to offer....it is a true pleasure to be associated with such wonderful people.  I hope you enjoy this fantastic article written by, Sky Barsch, my photograph that was selected for the cover photo of her article, and a few moments while I read one of my favorite magazines as I revisited Camel's Hump yesterday on a solo adventure.

Horse Farriers in Vermont with Curtis Savard Photography

Last week during my travels in Stowe, Vermont I dropped by one of my favorite ski shops in Vermont at the Nordic Barn and I had the pleasure of photographing Mark working with the horses at the stables next door.  Mark is one of the many talented individuals that have been working with horses, as well as individuals that have these beautiful animals within Vermont and beyond for many, many years. One of the aspects of their job that really left an impression with me along with the physical demands of the job, is an amazing relationship that is needed between the farrier, horse owner and horse to have a safe and successful job.  I hope you enjoy a few photographs I photographed of a type of job that I greatly respect because of the care that they provide with an animal that hopefully has a special place in all of our hearts.
